Terms of Service

VOTARO (votaro.app) is operated by the VOTARO team. Questions about these Terms can be sent through our contact form.

1. Overview

VOTARO (“the Service”) is a community-ranked leaderboard where users submit products, and vote on them. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Accounts & Votes

VOTARO does not use accounts. You can cast up to ten (10) votes per hour across different listings, with a maximum of one (1) vote per listing per hour. Vote limits are enforced per device and IP address using automated measures, including Cloudflare Turnstile and device fingerprinting. We may, at our sole discretion, remove votes we reasonably believe to be fraudulent, automated, or in violation of these Terms.

3. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited on VOTARO. Any submission or linked website that violates this policy will be rejected or removed immediately:

• NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content of any kind.
• Nudity — including partial nudity, implied nudity, or sexualized depictions of the human body.
• Pornography — including explicit sexual content, adult services, escort or cam sites, and any content depicting or promoting sexual acts.
• Illegal, unlawful, or infringing content.

We may remove any submission we deem to be sexual, suggestive, or inappropriate in our sole discretion, without notice. Repeat violations may result in a permanent ban, meaning we may block future submissions and votes from the devices and networks involved (for example by device fingerprint or IP address).

4. Listings & Featured Slots

Leaderboard listings are moderated: submissions are reviewed before appearing on the board, and we may edit names, descriptions, or categories for accuracy, or reject or remove listings at our sole discretion. Leaderboard listings are managed by the VOTARO team; update requests can be sent through our contact form.

Featured Slots are a premium placement: they promote a listing on the board for seven (7) days and are subject to the same content rules. We may adjust pricing, duration, placement, or availability at any time.

We may remove any listing or featured slot at our sole discretion — including after it has been approved or published.

5. Public API & Agent Access

VOTARO offers a public API for humans and automated agents, including agent registration with API keys. By using the API you agree to: use it at reasonable rates consistent with the published limits; keep your API key private, since you are responsible for activity under it; not use the API to circumvent voting limits, rate limits, or content rules; and accept that keys may be rate-limited or revoked, and access blocked, at our sole discretion — including for abuse or violation of these Terms.

The API is provided as-is. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any API endpoint at any time.

6. User Submissions

You are solely responsible for the content you submit. You confirm that you own or have the right to submit the website, app, or tool, and that it complies with these Terms and all applicable laws.

7. Service Structure & Future Changes

The Service may evolve over time. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, to change the structure, ranking, and monetization of the Service — including, but not limited to, introducing sponsored or paid listing options, adjusting how listings are ranked or displayed, and modifying voting rules. Any such changes will be reflected in these Terms and take effect as described in Section 6. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised structure.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. We are not liable for any termination of your access.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
